The 113th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle

Don't forget to get your fortnight's dose of skepticism right here, as The Unincredible Hallq serves up the latest Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle. It's another tasty concoction of skepticism, critical thinking, and science.

Next up on July 2 will be a newcomer and first time host, Homologous Legs. If you're a blogger with a skeptical bent, start sharpening your pencils (metaphorically speaking, of course--who uses pencils to blog?), and be sure to send your best stuff for the 114th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle. Then join us here two weeks hence!

The 112th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle: Skeptic Party

Skeptics, unfortunately, have an image problem. The woo-loving crowd thinks we're all stodgy and buzz-killing, but we like to party just as much as anyone else. Indeed, the latest Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle is proof positive, as our host Cheshire hosts a Skeptic Party.

Next up is the Unincredible Hallq, who, I hope, will be back from his blog break by June 18, which is when the the next Circle will appear once again.

The 111th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle: You're gonna love it!

Time flies, and the Sham-Wow guy shows up...

And so does the 111th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle, this time at hosted at Action Skeptics. You'll never look at the Sham-Wow guy in the same way again.

Next up is Cheshire, who will be hosting two weeks hence on June 4. This blog has never hosted before, and we always love to bring new blood to the Circle. So get your best skeptical work ready. You have less than two weeks.

The 110th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle: Calvinball Edition

As you may recall, the last meeting of the Skeptics' Circle never came to pass due to the illness of the host. That was to be the 110th Skeptics' Circle. Given that I had somehow screwed up and used the same number twice, though, it all works out if I simply label this Skeptics' Circle the 110th.

And a fine edition it is, hosted as it is by Corey, our youngest host thus far. So, check out the 110th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle: The Calvinball Edition.

Next up to host will be Action Skeptics on May 21. Get your best skeptical blogging ready!

The 109th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle: A crisis of credibility

Better late than never, I guess. Martin of Lay Scientist had some technical difficulties and was a bit late in delivering his Skeptics' Circle, the 109th Meeting of the Skeptics Circle. Suffice it to say that it features some...unexpected characters.

Next up two weeks hence is Waffle. Contact information is here. Bloggers, get your best skeptical work ready!

The 108th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle

Well, there's something new.

After nearly four years, I don't recall having seen a Skeptics' Circle meeting quite like this one before. The 108th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle has landed at Podblack Cat, and it's a doozy. In fact, it's a video podcast. Be sure to go and check it out.

Next up is The Lay Scientist on April 9. Start getting your skeptical wheels spinning and get more of that great skeptical blogging ready in time to make another great Skeptics' Circle.

The 107th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle: OMG! A podcast!

Well, here's a new way of hosting a Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle. What we have this time is the combination of a minimalist presentation of the relevant links with a maximalist bit of podcast blather from Theo Clark of The Skeptics' Field Guide. Go check it out!

Next up is PodBlack Cat on March 26. Start firing up your skeptical keyboards and be sure to give her the material she needs for yet another awesome carnival!

In the meantime, we're always--and I do mean always--on the lookout for hosts, both those who've hosted before and newbie skeptical bloggers who want their chance to make a mark on the blogosphere. It's one thing that helped get my blog off the ground, and it could for yours too. If you're interested (and who wouldn't be?), check out the schedule and guidelines, as well as the instructions for hosts, and then drop me a line.

Skeptics'' Circle #106 descends upon the world

It's a little late, but better late than never! Skeptics Circle #106 finally landed last night over at Disillusioned Words. Jeff Stingerstein lays it all out in a "just the facts, m'am" manner that demonstrates that, for all the fantastically creative and wild formats that prior hosts have used to present the last fortnight's skepticism, sometimes the straightforward is just as satisfying--especially given the quality of this edition's entries.

Next up in two weeks will be Skeptics' Field Guide. Start revving up your skeptical keyboards and supply Jeff and Theo with the material they need to keep the tradition alive!

And, as always, I am always looking for hosts. Indeed, I've been amazed at how good Skeptics' Circle hosts have been and how rare it is for the Circle to be a clunker. Still, I'm continually on the prowl for new skeptical talent, and I'm always happy when past hosts decide they want to give it another whirl. All the information you need to host is here and here. Check it out and drop me an e-mail!

The 104th Skeptics' Circle: The Skepticism Review and Education Program Edition...

Sorry I'm late announcing it, but better late than never.

Right on schedule, the 104th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle has arrived at Space City Skeptics. In fact, it's the sort of thing that will test your mind and cleverness in that it's...well, a test. But don't worry. It's not one of those nasty tests that you took in school and perhaps later in college. It's a fun test. So go forth and enjoy.

And don't forget to join us again two weeks hence, when the 105th Meeting of the Skeptics' Circle will be held at It's the Thought That Counts.
